Every Friday we unite for five minutes to write on one word. Only five minutes, that's all we get, that's all we have. And then, right where we are, no edits or second-thoughts, we publish those words. This week, we write on Grace.

Grace, it's the definition of your name.
It's one of the many, many things I have learned from you.
Because when your brother is hysterical, and Mia won't stop barking and getting under foot, and my 65 hour work week is driving me to tears, and my body is exhausted in a way I didn't think was possible, you are dancing and spinning in the middle of the cautious.
You are singing, and dancing, and spinning, and reminding me that life and love, it's full of grace.
It is in those moments of my torment that I look at you and want to scream, "stop...please stop!". Instead, as I turn to look into your big, beautiful blue eyes, I see it. I see the grace and I am reminded of what I want most for you and Cole, a happy childhood.
You remind me of love, and grace, and life, and comfort.
Grace, it is the definition of your name. 
Stop.
Ahhh - the bliss and joy of young children. As you expressed, what a life of grace. So grateful this morning for your words and your heart; they serve as a reminder to me to look for that in my students today.

We all need a reminder in the torment and exhaustion that grace will find it's way back into our hearts. It's what allows us to wake up each day with hope. Good luck to you on this day and the many more to come.
I love this! I know what you mean, times when I'm so exhausted mentally and physically, I look at my little ones laughing, or twirling or whatever they're doing with their infinite energy, and somehow it's revitalizing. If only in spirit 🙂

There are moments when it's difficult to remember how adorable their childhood is. They are our grace.
oh how sweet. Just as she dances around you, He dances over you. Over me. That's what this post just reminded me of. Wow, that's Grace.
